| Seven people, including three officers were hurt when a car bomb exploded, without prior warning, outside a police station in Ondarroa (Vizcaya) at around 4.30am this morning.
Five of the seven, including a young couple, were hospitalised with a variety of minor injuries.
At midnight, a first car bomb exploded near Caja Vital's new headquarters in Salburua, a new non-residential district on the outskirts of Vitoria.
On that occasion, a warning call made some 45 minutes beforehand gave police time to evacuate the area and nobody was hurt.
It has been confirmed that the call was made from a public telephone box in Galdakao, a small town around 70km from the regional capital, though there is now news about the type or quantity of explosives used in either attack. |
