It has emerged that two uniformed Air Europa pilots have been suspended after being caught exchanging blows and insults outside an hotel in Vigo city centre last Sunday while allegedly worse the wear after a boozy night out, and just five hours before they were due to pilot a Boeing 737 bound for Madrid with 110 passengers on board.
FAG (45) and ACGD (47) told the attending Local Police officers that they were due to depart at 12pm, though it was later confirmed that the flight was scheduled for 7.30am.
A replacement crew had to be called in, and the plane eventually took off after subjecting the passengers to a delay of more than three hours. |
