A two-year-old boy died at around 1.30am yesterday morning when he choked on popcorn at a family party in Rojas (Burgos).

A doctor attending the get-together tried, but was unable, to save the boy's life.

Eye-witnesses said the boy crammed the popcorn into his mouth then ran out of the room where the party was being held.
