| Miguel Ángel Moratinos has confirmed that president Zapatero has accepted an invitation from Raúl Castro to visit Cuba next year.
Speaking at a joint press conference following talks at the Viana Palace with Cuban Foreign Affairs minister, Felipe Pérez Roque, Mr Moratinos explained that there is no confirmed date for what will be Mr Zapatero's first visit to the former Spanish colony, but said he was sure it would happen.
Earlier, Mr Roque, who last visited Spain three years ago, had a meeting with government first vice-president, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, at the Moncloa Palace, and will dine with King Juan Carlos at the Zarzuela Palace this evening. |
