| The home help and chauffeur of the elderly couple found murdered at their home in Cáceres last week, were remanded in custody late last Sunday after giving evidence to a judge at Mérida court.
It seems that Ángela, a Brazilian woman, had been sacked from her job as the couple's care assistant just five days before they were killed.
The legal representative of the second individual - Rafael SG (35) - explained that his client had no reason whatsoever to murder his employers as he enjoyed his job, and it was sufficiently well paid to enable him to live comfortably and indulge an expensive recreational drug habit.
Elderly couple found dead at Cáceres home By: thinkSPAIN Friday, October 24, 2008
An incessantly barking dog with blood on its paws and muzzle alerted neighbours that something might be up at the home of its owners, an elderly couple living on the new Montesol residential estate in the La Mejostilla district of Cáceres.
Their bodies were found at around 6pm last Wednesday evening.
While it is not known exactly how or when the victims died, it has been confirmed that they were murdered.
The couple, whose identities have not been disclosed, moved into the rented property around a month ago. |
