| Nobody was injured last night in incendiary bomb attacks on two Eusko Tren stations in Berriz and Amorebieta.
It is believed that the attacks were timed to coincide with the 29th anniversary of the Guernica Statute today, which was the date originally chosen by the regional government to hold the public referendum about the future of the region that was prohibited by the Constitutional Tribune on September 11th.
The photo shows the damage caused by the first device, which exploded inside Berriz station at around 00.30am, and, according to a regional Interior ministry source, was made using inflammable liquid, gas and a firework.
A couple of hours later, a gang of hooded individuals threw two molotov cocktails inside Amorebieta-Etxano station, also causing extensive material damage. |
