| Juande Ramos has been sacked as manager of Tottenham Hotspur almost exactly twelve months after joining the club following the dismissal of Martin Jol.
Although he led Spurs to their first piece of silverware for nine years last February when they beat Chelsea to lift the League Cup, there has been a marked decline in the club's fortunes since the departures of the Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane last summer.
Spurs are currently four points adrift at the bottom of the Premiership table with only two points from eight games, and lost to Udinese in the UEFA Cup last Thursday.
Portsmouth manager, Harry Rednapp, will be brought in as a permanent replacement although development squad coach, Clive Allen, and youth team manager, Alex Inglethorpe, will be in charge for today's home match against Bolton.
Apart from Ramos, sporting director, Damien Comollo, and assistant coaches, Marcos Álvarez and Gus Poyet, have also been sacked. |
