| A solution has been found for tumour patient, Daniel Enrique Morales (46), who is too large for standard CAT scan machines.
He will be examined by specialist equipment today at the Lucentina private clinic under an arrangement with the regional health services, and it is expected that preventive surgery will be necessary.
Too fat for CAT scan By: valencialife.net Wednesday, November 12, 2008
It has been revealed that a 46-year-old man from Alicante has been waiting three years for a medical examination as no machine in any of the local hospitals is capable of bearing his weight of 200kg (nearly thirty-one and a half stone).
The man has an enormous abdominal tumour that currently weighs thirty kilos and an operation appears essential as over the last 36 months it has grown considerably.
In the meantime another difficulty has presented itself: he is now unable to leave his home due to his size. |
