| The violence that is currently shaking Greece appears to have spilled over in Spain, where two hundred people protesting the death of fifteen-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos rocked both Madrid and Barcelona, with the worst incidents taking place in Madrid, where a police station on Calle Montera was attacked.
Demonstrators injured several policemen and broke windows before nine of them were arrested, and in Barcelona, some eight hundred demonstrators tried to break through a huge police cordon, during which garbage containers were overturned, public benches and bus stops damaged, and an office of the La Caixa bank was almost completely destroyed.
Two people were arrested, as it was revealed that the majority of the demonstrators were Greek. |
