A special protest is being planned for next January in Almeria, which is set to coincide with the first anniversary of the house belonging to Helen and Len Prior in Vera being torn down in front of them.

The demolition took place only after they were told to leave one morning, and they stood by as their home, possessions and investment in Spain was destroyed as they looked on, causing Mr Prior to have a heart attack as he watched the destruction take place.

Since that time, it is believed that the couple have been living in a garage without electricity or running water, and the protest is aimed to focus on their plight and to call attention to other homes in the immediate area that are also threatened with demolition.
