| A 27-year-old man died in Tenerife today after inhaling toxic gases from a faulty gas-fired heater, becoming the fourth to die in similar circumstances during the last 24 hours.
The man's wife, who is of the same age and Rumanian, was gravely injured and taken to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital. The man was found in a tool shed (photo) on the La Caldera finca in Montaña Gorda on the outskirts of Granadilla.
Yesterday, a 23-year-old youth and his 19-year-old girlfriend died in the impoverished Campanillas district of Málaga after inhaling the fumes of a homemade heater made using an empty paint tin.
And in Utebo (Zaragoza), an 81-year-old man also died yesterday from toxic gases produced, according to his wife, by a battery used to activate the building's solar power panel. |
