| Two of the people injured yesterday when a mechanical fault on a pylon caused six chairs on a ski lift to fall to the ground, are in intensive care.
One of the injured, a 41-year-old woman, is in the Virgen de la Nieves hospital in Granada, suffering from multiple contusions. Her condition is said to be serious.
The most seriously injured of all, a 37-year-old woman, is in the intensive care unit of San Cecilio hospital, suffering from abdominal trauma.
The injuries sustained in the incident are much more serious than at first reported and although two of the people hospitalised with trauma injuries have been allowed home, a further seven remain in hospital and under observation.
It was initially reported that 14 people had been injured in the incident, but that figure has been corrected to 23.
