| POLICE in Valladolid are investigating the sale of a baby for the sum of 2,000 euros.
Three Romanian nationals have been arrested in Nava del Rey, says MP for Castilla y León Miguel Alejo, over the transaction, which involved a 10-month-old boy.
Alejo says the sale may have been the work of an organised criminal gang.
A 34-year-old man and his female partner, 32, reportedly bought the baby from his mother, also aged 32.
The arrested couple are also thought to be involved with human trafficking, having allegedly brought other Romanians over to Spain with false promises of jobs in order to exploit them for Money.
Police say the baby’s mother was arrested shortly after giving birth to another child in Valladolid’s Hospital Clínico Universitario.
The child was found to be in a good state of health and was handed over to the social services. |
