| AUSTRALIAN heavy metal legends AC/DC rocked Madrid on Thursday night, causing a furore among fans who had travelled up to 1,000 kilometres to see them perform.
Lead singer Angus Young, now 54 and brother of second guitarist Malcolm, stripped to his underwear during his rendition of The Jack, whilst Brian Johnson, the band’s other singer – now aged 61 – abseiled down from the ceiling attached to a church bell during his performance of Hell’s bells.
The band performed tracks from its most successful álbum Back in black, including the title track, plus Shoot to thrill, and Rock and roll train.
Their concert in the capital followed Tuesday’s show in Barcelona.
They are due to perform today in Bilbao, and will return to Spain in June for the next leg of their tour which started in February in Oslo and will finish in Glasgow on June 30.
But tickets for the next concerts in Spain, at the Vicente Calderón arena and the Olympic Stadium – both in Barcelona – have already sold out.
