| The winner of 126 million euros in last Friday's Euromillions draw, a 25-year-old Mallorcan woman, has told representatives of the internet site who sold her the ticket, that she intends to use some of the money to buy a farm and breed horses.
She also mentioned that her Godmother was suffering from an unusual disease, with very few cases in the world, and that she intended to donate a 'substantial amount of money' to investigating it. 'Sometimes money can save a life. Let's hope she's the lucky one', she added.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the founder of Serviapuestas, Sascha Badelt, that she has always liked 'the simple things in life' and was finding it hard to change her way of thinking.
'Becoming a millionaire wasn't really foremost in my mind' she told Badelt. 'My grandfather played the same combination for thirty years and never won anything'.
The winner confessed to normally making random bets, although she chose this Friday's numbers herself.
Although the draw was made on Friday, she didn't know that she had won until she switched on her computer at work on Monday morning and saw the e-mail from Serviapuestas.
She had been ill with flu all weekend, and had gone back to work despite still being under the weather for fear of losing her job in the current economic situation. |
