| A 30-year-old man from Morón de la Frontera (Seville) has died after getting trapped in a chimney stack whilst trying to break into a chalet in nearby La Mela.
Police released a statement confirming that the decomposing body of Ricardo C.G. had been found by the owner of the chalet on the Carretera de Marchena on one of his occasional visits to the property.
Riccardo's mother had reported his disappearance several days ago and the body is now being analysed by forensic scientists in order to establish the exact day he died.
It is believed that the man got stuck in the chimney, being unable to move either up or down and that corpse could have been there for as many as five or six days before it was found.
It appears that the man, who was known to the police, was using the chimney as a means to break into the property with the intent to steal from the owner. |
