|  The Basque police force today located the body of the mountaineer from Ortuella (Vizcaya) who was went missing on Sunday in the mountains around the town of Abadiņo.
The body of the 37-year-old-man was found at 11.30 this morning on a ridge near Frailea in the monte Anboto range of mountains and a helicopter was sent to bring the corpse out of this remote area.
It appears that the man, who had gone hiking, suffered a fall of some 15m which cost him his life.
The search party looking for the man since Monday comprised officers from Ertzaintza (the Basque police force), a police mountain brigade, the DYA (a roadside assistance group), the Mountain Federation and volunteers. |
