| A 39-year-old man from Hellín (Albacete) is in hospital tonight with serious injuries after suffering an accident whilst working on the Camarillas link road tunnel in Albacete province.
According to information released by Hellín town hall, the accident occurred at about 4am and the man, T.M., was caught up in and dragged along by the conveyor belt used to move the construction materials around the site.
The injured man, who was taken to Hellín hospital by an emergency services helicopter at 4.20am, is reportedly suffering from serious injuries to his lower extremities and has already undergone surgery.
Medical staff have not commented on whether or not he has had to have his legs amputated, but the man remains in intensive care in Hellín hospital. |
