A MAN who confessed to murdering his wife has been remanded in custody pending trial.

Francisco Agustín G.T., 49, is said to have stabbed 42-year-old María C.T. before calling her family and telling them he had ‘just done something crazy’.

The couple, who lived together in Albox, were going through a separation.

He confessed to Guardia Civil officers and appeared in court in Huércal-Overa yesterday, where a judge ordered that he be placed in the provincial jail, El Acebuche, until his case came to trial.
