| A TORNADO in Cádiz led to a fair being evacuated.
People were forced to leave the fair in San José del Valle at around 23.30hrs on Friday night after Local Police gave the alert, emergency services reveal. Medical staff, the Local Police and the Guardia Civil from Jerez were called in to arrange the orderly departure of nearly 3,000 people.
Nobody was hurt, but substantial material damage was recorded.
Almost every stall was blown down, trees ripped up, a building and the bull-ring were severely damaged.
The roof of a nearby petrol station was also torn off.
Authorities are working round the clock to restore the area in the hope that the fair will be able to continue shortly.
