| Valencia City Council has initiated proceedings against a woman for leaving two dogs inside a locked car, with neither water nor ventilation and is suggesting a fine of 1,200€.
The offence took place at the beginning of last year in Valencia's Calle Lérida but the case is only being tried now.
Council officials consider that the woman has committed a 'serious contravention' of the autnonomous Pet Protection laws passed in 1994 by leaving the animals in 'inadequate accommodation' and 'without the ncecessary care and attention'.
Serious contraventions of this law can lead to fines of between 601.01€ and 6,010.11€ |
