POLICE in Menorca are combing the island for a 78-year-old British man who was reported missing on Friday night by his wife.

She raised the alarm shortly before 20.00hrs when Peter L.F. did not return home.

His car was found three hours later in the Es Mitjorn area.

Local Police, the Guardia Civil and the Civil Protection squad have been searching since the early hours of yesterday morning on land, sea and by air.

Anyone who has information that may lead to finding Peter is asked to contact the police.
