AN earthquake measuring 2.3 on the Richter Scale in the Maresme area of Catalunya was recorded on Friday.

The regional geological institute reported yesterday that the tremor’s epicentre was traced to Tordera (Barcelona).

It was felt throughout the Maresme district in the Barcelona province, and that of La Selva (Girona).

No injuries nor significant property damage have been recorded.
