| David Ferrer followed his four compatriots into the third round of Wimbledon today when he beat Italy's Fabio Fognini in straight sets (6-2, 6-2, 6-3) in just 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The No.16 seed from Javea's opponent in the next round will be the No.23 seed, Radek Stepanek from the Czech Republic.
Unseeded Juan Carlos Ferrero also went through to the third round, needing four sets (6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-3) to despatch Fabrice Santoro of France.
He will meet the No.10 seed, Chile's Fernando González in the next round. |
