|  A YOUNG girl who was reportedly stabbed 20 times by her father is said to be in a very serious but stable condition in hospital.
The victim, 20, who lives in Portugalete (Vizcaya), has undergone surgery for multiple knife-wounds to the chest which have left her with a perforated lung.
Her father, 43, has been arrested by the Basque police, the Ertzaintza.
He is also said to have caused injuries to two of his other children, a girl and a boy.
