The police have given up their latest search for the body of Marta del Castillo in a ditch in Camas (Seville).

Marta's ex-boyfriend and alleged killer,  Miguel C.D., changed his story yet again this week, claiming to have thrown her body into field in the Camas area of Seville, just 50m from where he was living at the time, not into the river Guadalquivir or a rubbish container as he had previously told police.

Today's police search was carried out in a ditch about a hundred metres long, near a stream, adjeacent to the road where the alleged murderer was living with another ex-girlfriend at the time of Marta's disappearance in January.

Three diggers were used to open up a number of holes in the ditch in the hope of finding Marta's body, but their efforts were in vain.
