| SIX possible common graves have been found in the Fuente Grande area of Alfacar (Granada), one of which is believed to hold the remains of literary icon Federico García Lorca.
A radar used by the Andalucía Geophysics Institute has picked up the signals of the tombs, which will be immediately excavated.
But at the express wish of Lorca’s descendents, his remains will not initially be formally identified.
Federico García Lorca, one of the writers who formed part of the so-called Generation of ’27, was a poet and playwright whose works have acquired international renown.
He was assassinated during the Spanish Civil War and buried in a common grave in his native province, Granada.
