| AN elderly couple thought to have been killed by a fire in their Córdoba home are thought to have been shot prior to the blaze.
Emergency services say the woman, 80, and her husband, 78, both had shot-wounds which were believed to have killed them rather than the fire itself.
National Police found their bodies at around lunchtime yesterday.
They have not ruled out domestic violence, although they have no records of such cases concerning the couple having been previously reported to them.
Officers are also attempting to find out whether there was anyone else in the house at the time of the couple’s death.
They say the murder weapon was not in the property.
The victims’ bodies have not yet been formally identified by their family members.
