|  A 54-year-old notary has been shot dead in his office in Torrevieja.
The incident happened at 12.30pm today, at the notary's office at 74 Calle Ramón Gallud, right in the centre of Torrevieja.
According to initial reports, two people burst into the office demanding money from the secretary on the front desk in the notary's office, who then alerted the notary who was in another office at the time.
The notary came to the front desk and, in the ensuing struggle with the would-be thieves, ended up receiving a gun shot that proved to be fatal.
The attackers fled the scene straight after the shooting and the Guardia Civil have launched an immediate operation to find and detain them. |
