| A SHOPKEEPER who filmed ladies on the toilet on his premises could face four years in jail when his case comes to court in January next year.
The accused is said to have installed a hidden camera in the public conveniences of his shop in Écija (Sevilla) in 2002.
Prosecutors say the camera was clearly pointed directly at the toilet itself, leaving no doubt that the apparatus was not fitted in the cubicle merely for security purposes.
During investigations, two women recognised themselves on the CCTV footage.
It later transpired that the accused downloaded the camera material onto CDs to watch on his home computer.
He had wired up the camera in the toilets to an extractor fan next to the desk in his office, the court heard.
Both female customers and women employees were filmed.
The victims have also taken civil action against the accused, who could face a fine of 7,200 euros plus compensation payments of 4,000 euros to each of the women on film.
