On Saturday, the doors will open on Madrid's first International Record Fair, which, according to the organisers, aims to "bring back the collector's spirit" by offering "exclusive material" to visitors.
The record fair, being held in the capital's Palacio de Congresos on Saturday and Sunday, hopes to become a "reference point" in the music world, with areas catering for all musical tastes "from the most avid vinyl singles collector from the 70s to today's CD fanatic".
Three "curiosities" will also be featured - a lock of John Lennon's hair, a pipe for smoking marijuana which belonged to the ex-Beatle and a patch of drum skin signed by Ringo Starr.
"The huge variety of exhibitors will guarantee visitors the chance to find rare items, curiosities, records from all over the world and limited editions from different eras", say the organisers. "There will be tens of thousands of records available - valuable one-offs as well as offers to suit every budget".
