SPAIN'S most expensive property for sale is a 3,000-square-metre villa in La Moraleja (Madrid), a report has revealed this weekend.

It is on the market for a cool 13 million euros.

It has 11 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and numerous lounges and dining rooms, and is located on a 10,000-square-metre plot comprising a garden and private woodland.

The survey has also revealed that the cheapest property for sale is in Mollerusa (Lleida), and is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom flat of 44 square metres, with an asking price of 25,000 euros.

The report, by www.facilisimo.com, studied 80,000 properties for sale and for rent across the whole of Spain.

It reveals that sale and rent prices of properties have fallen by an average of 17 per cent in the last three years.

The photo shows a typical villa on an urbanisation in La Moraleja, the town where the most expensive house was found.
