Search still on for missing pilot

Guardia Civil are still searching for the glider pilot who took off from Fuentemilanos airport in Segovia two days ago at 5pm, and who has not been seen since. Thick fog is hampering the air search operation, but all terrain patrols on quad and scrambling bikes have been combing the area north of the Guadarrama mountain range, and between Otero de Herreros and Navas de San Antonio. Their efforts have been re-directed towards the area of Ortigosa del Monte in the last few hours after a passer-by reported spotting wreckage which could belong to the missing white "Claser Dirks" glider, which is about 4 metres long. The missing man, 43 year old, Fernando C.F., who was an expert glider pilot, was first reported missing at 6.39pm on Friday evening after control tower staff lost radio control, and were unable to raise him on his moble phone.
