The autopsy on the body of murdered jewellery saleswoman, Marta Villayandre, revealed that she was suffocated to death immediately after a struggle with two of the Colombians who have been arrested in connection with her death.

She was killed in an apartment in León, where the ganag of Colombians had set up a trap for her.  She had met with them on two previous occasions, and believed that she was going to make an important sale for somewhere in the region of 20,000 euros worth of stock this time.

The apartment where the murder took place belonged to a third party, who allegedly loaned out the property unaware of what it was going to be used for.  He has also been questioned by police.

Marta's body was then transferred to her own car, which was parked in the street below.  Bearing in mind the events took place during the day, police say the body must have been disguised in blankets, sheets or something similar.  It was then driven to Pola de Lena (Asturias)where Marta's body was dumped and abandoned, eventually ending up in the police pound in Oviedo on January 19th.

The same day that the three suspects were arrested, another person linked to them came forward to the police in León and handed over the jewellery that the suspects had left with them, claiming to have had nothing to do with what had happened.
