| THE 'happiest pig in Spain' has hit the headlines three years after he was rescued by a vegetarian from Galicia.
His new dad, Pedro, paid to avoid him being slaughtered during the San Martín fiestas in the north-western region in 2008.
Now that his story has come to light, Quinin – as Pedro has named him – has become the most famous pig in the country.
He lives in a farmhouse in the village of Carral, weighs 300 kilos and is said to live 'the life of Reilly'.
Devoted dad Pedro says Quinin likes to go for walks around the countryside and that he follows him everywhere.
Pedro says Quinin enjoys hugs and being stroked and brushed.
