|  A MOTHER and daughter have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping the lover of the former's husband, say National Police.
They were called out by a witness, who saw a woman of Ecuadorian nationality and her daughter, 15, forcing the victim into a van in the centre of Oviedo (Asturias) and driving off.
The abducted woman, 29, was said to be involved in an extra-marital relationship with the accused's husband.
She told police that her kidnappers beat her repeatedly and cut her hair.
Officers heard that the victim managed to make a telephone call to the accused's husband and explained to him which direction the van was heading in.
He tracked them down to the El Cascayu district of the city and, following a confrontation with his wife and daughter, managed to free his lover before the police got there from nearby Noreņa.
They arrested the two females, although the teenager has since been released with charges and is in the care of family members.
In the meantime, the victim has been taken to hospital for her wounds to be treated.
