An anticyclone is heading Spain's way this weekend, bringing temperatures more typical of the spring, than of late February.
There will be highs of around 20ºC along the Mediterranean coast and in Andalusia, whereas central areas will enjoy clear blue skies and temperatures of between 14 and 18ºC over the next few days.
In northern areas partially cloudy skies are expected, and there could be some mist or foggy patches in the early mornings. Highs of up to 13ºC are expected.
Nevertheless, temperatures will drop sharply at night, as is typical of this time of year. There will be some frost in northern and inland areas, particularly along the Cantabrian Mountains. The mercury could drop below 0ºc in Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León and in the Pyrenees.
On Sunday there could be some rain in Cantabria and in the Basque Country, but the rest of the country will see clear skies. The Canary Islands will be part cloudy with highs of 21ºC.
