| NUMEROUS high-street stores will turn upside-down tomorrow for charity.
Zara, Springfield, Mango, Cortefiel, Pedro del Hierro, El Corte Inglés, Women’s Secret, C&A, and the Movistar shops managed by Telyco will have their shop-window mannequins and other displays on their heads.
This bizarre move is to support the SOMOS campaign driven by 25 charities, in recognition of the three million members and regular donors across Spain.
Even the post office will issue stamps bearing the image of SOMOS, and on-line companies such as eBay, Yell Publicity, Atrápalo, Privalia, Meetic and others have jumped on board.
SOMOS is a type of confederation of 25 Spanish charities of all sizes which come under the umbrella of the Spanish Fundraising Association and are supported by Bain & Company. |
