BRUCE 'The Boss' Springsteen's eagerly-awaited concerts in Spain have posed a downside for football fans: Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu stadium will not be able to host the Copa del Rey final.
Streets of Philadelphia legend Springsteen will be in Barcelona on Saturday, May 14 at Barça's Camp Nou stadium, then in the Anoeta pitch in San Sebastián in the Basque Country on Tuesday, May 17 and finally, in Madrid on Saturday, May 21.
But his show will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu, the first choice of venues for Copa del Rey finalists Barça FC and Sevilla FC, on the same day.
As yet, no alternative has been found, but Valencia FC's Mestalla stadium or Atlético de Madrid's Vicente Calderón stadium.
For each concert, tickets will be on sale on March 1, 4 and 8 respectively, with a maximum of six per person sold, costing between €65 and €115 for seats and €80 in standing areas, according to the New Jersey artist's promotion firm Doctor Music.
The River Tour 2016 will feature hits from Springsteen's E-Street Band, classic solo numbers, and tracks from his brand-new album The ties that bind: The river collection.
