| Actress Silvia Marsó stars in and produces the play ‘Aquí no paga nadie’ (‘No one pays here’) by Nobel Prize winner for Literature Darío Fo, directed by Esteve Ferrer and premiering nationally tomorrow in the Teatro Cervantes in Málaga.
In the words of Marsó, the idea behind creating the theatre group which is staging this play, Vorágine Producciones, was to “make ideological and social theatre which makes the audience reflect”.
This particular play is set in Italy in the 70s, and the problems which it discusses, such as social class conflicts, “are still very much current, and some even more than back then”. However, in the words of director Esteve Ferrer, the best aspect of this play is that it was written by Darío Fo, “a clown”, with humorous dialogues and very interesting characters.
After Málaga, the play will travel to Murcia, Logroño and Baracaldo, and from September it could arrive in Madrid.
