The church of Sant Josep in Tavernes will be celebrating its 50th anniversary tomorrow (Saturday). Barcelona’s archbishop, Ricard Maria Carles,who was previously a prelate of the church, will travel to Tavernes to take part in the celebrations. At noon a, procession will leave from the church of Sant Pere to Sant Josep. There the archbishop will officiate at a Eucharist and afterwards will be guest of honour at a lunch in the Restaurant 5 Hermanas in the town. Born in Valencia in 1926, Ricard Maria Carles, has always been specially concerned with the apostolate among young peopleand was chaplain of the Young Chistian Workers (YCW) Tickets for this auspicious occasion can be obtained from the church of Sant Josep today (Friday) between 6 and 8pm
