| Santa Clara Convent in Manresa (Barcelona) will be the scene of an inter-religious celebration this Saturday, during which the hymn of the World Religions Parliament for the Fórum de las Culturas will be presented. The hymn is written by Niidea, and is entitled ‘Tu i jo’ (‘You and I’, in Catalan).
After the presentation of the hymn, all participants will take part in a joint prayer and incense will be thrown on a small bonfire. Among the expected visitors are representatives of the Buddhist communities, the Brama-Kumaris, Christian-Catholic, Bahai, and members of the Manresa Muslims.
The lead singer for Niidea, Ferran Dabant, who wrote the song, explained the complexity of writing the lyrics for this song keeping in mind the various religions taking place in the Parliament. The song stresses the need for peace, and the chorus says: “Neither you nor I. May peace be the one to unite us now and forever”.
