A supercar may only be a dream for most, but it’s still good to keep up with the latest designs and developments. Swedish car manufacturers Koenigsegg are at the top of their league in the field of super sports car design, and last year received a Guinness Record for the most powerful production car in the world replacing the Mclaren F1 for this record. Christian v. Koenigsegg said he is happy that Guinness has recognised their CC and that he will strive for the official top speed record as well. Koenigsegg manufactures exclusive super sports cars for a select elite of enthusiasts. Spaceage materials and uncompromising quality both in finish and function make these cars among the very best in the automotive history. They reach higher top-speeds and are more powerful than any other series-produced car today. Two models are currently in production; the CC8S, which now holds the Guinness World Record for the most powerful street car, and the magnificent new 806 hp CCR. Both Koenigsegg models are built to excel on the road or racetrack, yet still enable highly comfortable long distance travelling. Koenigsegg’s design seeks to give an interpretation of strength and flowing motion. The body of a Koenigsegg is formed for one ultimate purpose; speed. Its beauty is the beauty of speed itself. The surfaces are shaped to perfectly aerodynamic, an appearance that does not deceive. All aspects of this machine serve its one fundamental objective. Both the body and chassis of a Koenigsegg are made of extremely lightweight carbon fibre composite, reinforced with Kevlar and aluminium honeycomb. Its race-bred suspension system brings the driver in control of all movement, even under the toughest racing conditions. Koenigsegg creates each car specifically for each custumer; they are individual pieces of art. Leather contrasted by futuristic controls and refined surfaces encloses the occupants; it is an environment for adventure. The Koenigsegg hardtop is stored under the front bonnet during roofless driving. And crash-tests have verified that at least in terms of safety, a Koenigsegg is a truly Swedish car. Darrel Myers, a designer at the company offers the following advice to anyone interested in purchasing the car. “The car is available in Spain, an interested person should contact Mr Nilsson who is our head of sales, at our address or sales@koenigsegg.se. The person would then be advised on the best route to take on purchasing a car.” Such a fantastic car comes from a very dedicated team. Working for Koenigsegg, provides a satisfying career. “It’s very exciting!” says Darrel. “ I guess that would describe it best. the company is expanding so rapidly at present and with ever increasing interest from the media, professionals and laymen alike it's hard not to get carried away somtimes. Jeremy Clarkson bestowed the honour of his favourite supercar upon us. One of the best feelings comes from the fact that the team is so small with less than 30 on site. You get a real sense of being involved in lots of different aspects of the car, as opposed to specialising on a single area, say interior, exterior, accsesories or whatever. What really tops it all off is seeing all of the hard work and late nights pay off when the car is displayed for the public at auto shows, hearing people's reactions and watching their faces.”
