More police for Benitatxell

El Poble Nou de Benitatxell welcomed two new police officers last Friday, bringing the local force up to 12. The town has just 4,500 registered inhabitants, although this figure trebles in the summer because of the large number of holiday homes in the area. Local councillors highlighted the necessity of increasing the number of officers because residents are demanding more security.
