Elkarri social movement presents petition in favour of dialogue to regional governments
ThinkSpain  , Friday, June 18, 2004

Cultural association Elkarri has registered over 122.500 signatures in the government offices of Navarra and the Basque Country supporting the ‘Declaration of Political Will for Dialogue’, proposing the creation of a “multi-party dialogue group” in both autonomous governments.

The signed petitions, collected over the last six months, underline the “urgent” need to activate processes of dialogue that will “restore the climate of democratic debate our society needs”. The main aim of this petition is to achieve equal representation of all political parties in decisions taken by the respective regional governments. Representatives of all political parties except the PP have signed the document.
