| The 40 year old man suspected of having shot and killed a 42 year old Argentinian woman last Thursday in the carpark of a commercial centre in the village of Alfafar (Valencia), has been remanded in custody with no chance of bail by a judge at Catarroja court today.
The suspect gave himself up to police in the nearby village of Carlet on Sunday. His lawyer, José María Cervel, explained that his client has not actually confessed to the crime, which he describes as "very complex... a lot more work is needed before the true facts of this case come to light," he said.
However, the lawyer was able to confirm that the incident had nothing at all to do with drugs, but was reluctant to confirm whether or not it was a "crime passionnel."
