Around 150 Beatles fans from all over Spain took part in the 5th National Beatles Fans Convention yesterday held in Getafe´s Sergeant Peppers Pub, which featured performances from a number of covers bands including, The Enders, Los Robinson, Los Beat Glasses, and The Spers (photo, comprised of four 17 year olds).

There were also discussion groups, videos, and a small market selling original Beatles memorabilia. Organiser, Jordi Pau, explained that the event, which ended early this morning with a video of one of the band´s Munich concerts, "coincides with the day John Lennon would have turned 64." This year´s convention is the first to be held outside of Valencia, and will move to Barcelona next year, when "something special" is planned.
