Fifteen people had to be evacuated from one of the buildings damaged by a falling crane yesterday in the town of Blanes (Gerona). The accident occurred at 11.25am on the calle Alhambra as construction workers were dismantling the crane, the arm of which fell, damaging several buildings -one seriously- and eight cars parked on the street. Nobody was injured, but the road had to be closed temporarily, the electricity supply was cut, and gas pipes were damaged.
