The spirit of Christmas

Having only arrived in Spain in September, Kudos Restaurant owners Clive Campell, Mark Byrne and Jamie Laden decided to organise a collection of presents for the orphanage in Alicante with the help of Mandy Challis, Jo Carter and Yvonne Thompson. The word quickly spread around the town and soon presents started arriving to be placed under the Christmas tree at Kudos. On Monday December 20, Director Josefa Martín of the orphanage Diputada del Hogar Provincial Alicante came to Kudos to receive the 250 Christmas presents on behalf of the children. The orphanage looks after 35 children aged 0- 6 years and also has a day school for 150 -170 children from disadvantaged families where breakfast, lunch and tea are provided. Special thanks to Wayne and Derick from the Queen’s Hotel and Nivola Spas for donating a generous number of presents, The Rich Bitch, JRB Foods, Abby Wilson from Quicksave for collecting presents, Sue from the Air Conditiong Centre, Book-Books, Sierra Bèrnia School, Churchill International, Round Town and local mums and Kudos customers. If you would like to donate a present there is still time. Just buy your gift and label it indicating whether it is for a boy or girl and the age and take it to Kudos Restaurant, Camí de la Mar or contact Clive on 96 588 92 10.
