| Valencia´s Spanish international left winger, Vicente, has had an operation on his left ankle and is likely to be out for at least three months. An arthoscropy was performed on it at Dr Marten´s sporting injuries clinic in Belgium which did not reveal any cartilage or ligament damage, but the joint was cleaned up and will probably not be fit again for at least three months.
The player will have the joint immobilised for the first week, after which he can start using crutches for a couple of weeks. Flexibility exercises will follow that, and by the fifth week he can start swimming and using the exercise bike.He will be able to start training normally after ten weeks pending the results of a check up by surgeons at Dr Marten´s clinic.
